Realheart's artificial heart is featured in a German TV documentary about heart disease and new scientific developments that will be broadcast on ZDF tonight, 25 October, at 8.15 PM.<\/strong><\/div>\n

The documentary, entitled ''Horst Licther: Mein Herz, mein Motor'', follows a heart failure patient on the waiting list for a transplant. It also highlights the shortage of donor hearts and the need for new technology in artificial hearts. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Both Realheart's founder Dr Azad Najar and Dr Dilek G\u00fcrsoy, who is part of the company's surgical team for the ongoing animal studies, are interviewed in the programme.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

''The general interest in our artificial heart is high among patients, doctors and investors alike, and this kind of media coverage further helps to raise awareness of the prevalence of heart failure today, as well as the need for better medical devices to treat patients. It's very important for us to be able to showcase our heart in this kind of context'' said Realheart CEO Ina Laura Perkins.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
